Why get my dress cleaned – it doesn’t look dirty?

We understand that your wedding dress is special to you,so cleaning it before it begins to deteriorate is advisable.
Untreated stains may become set into the delicate fabric and can cause permanent marks. Some invisible marks & spills will, over time, darken and become very difficult or impossible to remove.

Will all the stains on my dress be removed?

Different fabrics require different methods of cleaning. We have various types of cleaning processes and we will ensure the correct method is used for your dress. However,it is sometimes impossible to guarantee the removal of every mark and stain from every type of material. In general we advise customers to be extremely wary of any company with such claims.
We will always try to achieve the best results possible, with each dress being hand treated before and after cleaning.

My dress has lots of beadwork on- will this be ok?

90% of the dresses we that clean have intricate beadwork, crystals and sequins, most of which will have been tested for dry cleaning by the manufacturer. Some larger flowers and embellishments may need to be removed by us before cleaning, we will call you to discuss if this is necessary.
We take the greatest of care with all the dresses sent to us, however we cannot accept responsibility for beads and trimmings due to their unsuitability for cleaning.

Can you clean any type of dress?

We have various methods of cleaning and safely clean all dresses, even ones that say do not dry clean, spot clean only and ‘F’ clean.

Do I need a storage box?

If your dress is stored in plastic or a non breathable fabric this can result in mildew or oxidisation. Mildew once is on a dress it is extremely difficult to remove and will worsen over time. Oxidisation -fabric discolouration can cause severe yellowing and fading of the dress.
Dust and moth damage may also occur if the dress is stored incorrectly.

Once clean your dress needs to be stored away to prevent any damage to the dress over time. Our boxes are made from pH neutral materials preventing any yellowing, discolouration or deterioration of the fabric.
Boxes protect from exposure to light and dust which will cause uneven marking of the gown over time.
